What we hear so often is that people lack direction when it comes to their training. They're going out for runs, or hitting the gym, but they really don't know if what they're doing is making the best use of their time and effort. All our plans are always fully individualised, and most are dynamic as it will be the most effective way for you to train. When life gets in the way, or you miss a week thanks to illness, we'll be able to change it up - there's no such thing as a perfect training cycle after all.

To top it off, your fully individualised plan will be created by a personal trainer that has a deep understanding of what it takes to accomplish your goal. Training for mountain sport isn't a skill that most personal trainers have, just like I wouldn't be the best person to ask if someone wanted to get a shredded body. What are the main benefits to hiring me as your PT

​Experience & Knowledge: As above, you can draw on a qualified and experienced mind to enhance your training.

Push your boundaries: Variation and overload are key to sustaining and progressing your exercises. A PT will provide fun and varied sessions.

Accountability: Meeting or checking in with your PT is an appointment you shouldn't miss. Having a PT helps to keep you regular with your exercise.

Programme Design: I will work with you to set goals and can help design a programme that can help you work towards them in the best possible way.

BESPOKE TRAINING PACKAGES
Below you'll find our various packages on offer, with each one providing a varying level of support. All our bespoke / individualised training plans will start with you completing a consultation form, from which we will be able to really dial in on what we need to do, how much time we have to do it, and what equipment we have to do it with.
All plans are based on remote coaching, with the opportunity to meet and complete sessions at an additional cost if required, and feasible.
All training plans are fully dynamic and can be adapted throughout. The only thing that is fixed is the end date of your block, which can of course be extended as many times as you wish.
Given the time required to make progress with your fitness, the minimum plan duration is 6 weeks.

THE SUMMIT PUSH
£80 per 6 weeks
Ideal for anyone going for a big, demanding expedition (6000m, 7000m, 8000m peaks) who needs to have the mind and body at an all time high level of peak performance. Whether you're looking at climbing Everest, Aconcagua or Mera Peak, this plan gives you the ultimate level of support, will build your physical and mental resilience, and really drills down into making those marginal gains. This plan includes:

Psychological Sessions - Development sessions (Task driven) designed to help get you more mentally resilient

Dietary Support - Not a full meal plan, but help and advice on your diet during training, as well as advice on fuelling you towards your goal whilst on expedition.

ADVANCED BASE CAMP
£55 per 6 weeks
The perfect plan for someone undertaking a big trek such as Everest Base Camp, Machu Picchu, or climbing a peak such as Kilimanjaro or Mount Toubkal. Also suitable for those with bigger goals, but wanting a lower level of support.

ADVENTURE PLAN
£50 per 6 weeks
The plan to go for if you are looking for more direction on your training, whether you have a goal in mind or not. A good choice for general fitness (mountain or otherwise) and accountability. This plan is dynamic and includes as much contact with your trainer as you like throughout the duration of the plan.

FIXED PLANS
From £40 per 6 weeks
Unsure on what is the most efficient way of training, or want to spice your training up, but don't need the accountability check or support of a PT? On this option there will be a consultation, from which you will have a long term plan designed for you to take away and work with. Constant contact with your PT (a little is OK of course) or extensive changes to the plan are not included in this option.

A recommendation is always a good start, and it was evident when I first met Matt for a coffee that he knew his stuff. Matt Le Voi - Trainer of Legends! After moving to the Lake District last October I booked Matt for a Scafell Pike walk during which we we talked about all things trail running, lakes and navigation. I confided in Matt that I had a place in the Lakeland 50 trail race but was worried about the self navigation and night sections. Well as someone who’d completed the Lakeland 50 himself I suspect he began to form a plan.
The next time I met Matt on the Scafell 5 peaks challenge group walk on which he “outed” me to the group as someone who WAS going to do this race! This led to an offer of some personal mountain specific training. How could I refuse?
I’d trail run for years but I knew this was a massive challenge, since moving the Lakeland terrain was beating my body up and my confidence was very low. In fact there was a 90% chance I’d defer.
Training with Matt was the best decision Ever! Not only did he give me a tailored plan for this races specific challenges he also propped up my confidence enough to get to that start line.
Race day was just epic! The strength training definitely gave my legs more power and endurance throughout! Don’t get me wrong it was tough!!
But I came through the finish with a smile on my face 16.39 hours!
